2017 Shizuoka Festival Karate-do event

The 11th Shizuoka Festival Karate-do event was held at Shizuoka-ken Budokan on 8th October 2017 and Shihan Masaharu Okawa & Shunseikan students have introduced Ryukyu Kobujutsu demonstrations.

2017 Indonesia Seminar

1st Ryukyu Kobujutsu Seminar was held in Bali island, Indonesia on 15th to 17th September 2017.
Members from Indonesia, Japan (Shidoin Mr. Taku Oguchi for guidance) & Belgium (Branch head Mr.Kurt Van Meel) and Australia.
We appreciate all of the devoted efforts & arrangements by Mr. Roy Soentjens (Seminar organizer, Branch Head in Indonesia), all his students & international participants.

2017 United Kingdom Summer Seminar

The Ryukyu Kobujutsu U.K. summer seminar was held in London on 18th to 20th August 2017.
There were more than 75 students who attended the seminar from 10 different countries coming from as far as Bermuda and Russia and also including Sweden (Branch head Mr. Matts Andersson) & Greece (Branch head Mr. Nicolaos Tsoupakis ).
The seminar took place under the tutelage of Shihan Mr. Masaru Shingai and Shidoin Mr. Hideho Yokota from Japan.
We appreciate all of the devoted efforts & arrangements by Mr. Julian Mead (Seminar organizer, Branch Head in U.K.) and all his students & international participants.

2017 NHK "SPORTS JAPAN" introduces "Ryukyu Kobujutsu" to 150 countries.

NHK WORLD, a satellite and internet broadcasting by NHK, will introduce "Ryukyu Kobujutsu" in the TV program "SPORTS JAPAN" broadcasted in 150 countries.
We thank NHK for giving us this precious opportunity.

2017 The Hokkaido karate-do Training seminar

The Hokkaido karate-do Training seminar 2017 for the boys & girls was held at Hokkaio Nakajima Sports Center on 22nd July 2017 and we (Inoue, Okawa, Okabayashi, Goto & Oguchi) have introduced Ryukyu Kobujutsu lecture and demonstrations.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for giving us this opportunity to "Nippon Budokan", "Nihon Kobudo Kyokai", "All Japan Karate-do Federation" and " Hokkaido Karate-do Federation" .

2017 The Seminar in Canada

Ryukyu Kobujutsu seminar was held in Toronto, Canada on 22nd to 28th June 2017.
Members from Canada, Japan (Shihan Mr. Toshio Okabayashi for guidance) & United States of America (Branch heads Mr. Bernard Edwards, Mr. Colman Fink) participated.

Our society joined Japanese traditional martial arts demonstration on 15th April 2017 at Asakusa in Tokyo.
The following Kata and kumite etc. were demonstrated by Souhonbu dojo members and Meiji university Kobudo club students.

Bo,Sai ,Tonfa kata and Kumite etc. were demonstrated by Shimizu branch & Shunseikan branch members.

2017 Ryukyu Kobujutsu Demonstration in Tokyo

Annual domestic Ryukyu Kobujutsu seminar was held in Tokyo on 4th and 5th March 2017.
The members gathered from Souhonbu domestic branches and Belgium practiced Ryukyu Kobujutsu, Karate and Taijutsu under the guidance of president Kisho Inoue Sensei.
We were able to achieve meaningful exchanges among members through social gatherings, such as training.

Standing directors' meeting and AGM were held in Tokyo on 4th March 2017, and the establishment of the Australia Perth branch etc. were approved.

The 40th Nihon Kobudo Demonstration Festival" hosted by "Nippon Budokan" & "Nihon Kobudo Kyokai" was held at "Nippon Budokan" in Tokyo on 5th February 2017.
35 Japanese traditional martial arts styles joined to demonstrate.
